The Process

Design Preparation:

Your artwork is uploaded or created using design software. Sublimation works best with bold colours and high-resolution images.

Printing on Transfer Paper:

The design is printed onto special sublimation paper using sublimation inks.

Heat Press Transfer:

The printed paper is placed on the garment or product, then heat-pressed at high temperatures. The heat turns the ink into gas, bonding it to the fabric.

Finished Product:

The result is a smooth, vibrant, long-lasting design that’s part of the material itself—no cracking, peeling, or fading.

Your questions Answered

What materials can be sublimated?
Sublimation only works on polyester or polymer-coated surfaces. For garments, we recommend 100% polyester for the best results, though blends with high polyester content can work too.
Is sublimation suitable for cotton?
No. Sublimation ink won’t bond with cotton fibres. For cotton garments, consider other methods like direct-to-film (DTF) or vinyl printing.
Will the print fade or wash out?
Sublimation prints are extremely durable and won't fade, peel, or crack. The ink becomes part of the fabric, so it holds up wash after wash.
Can I print white with sublimation?
No, sublimation doesn’t use white ink. It relies on the base colour of the material, so it works best on white or light-coloured garments.
Is sublimation good for logos and photos?
Yes! Sublimation is excellent for full-colour, photo-quality images and detailed logos, making it a favourite for teamwear, promotional items, and custom apparel.
When should I choose sublimation?
Choose sublimation when you're printing on light-coloured polyester garments and want a durable, full-colour print that feels like part of the fabric. It’s ideal for sportswear, uniforms, and custom merchandise.
